Pyjama Party Sunday

Little P came for a sleepover Saturday night and I had to sing "Roary the Racing Car" at least 673 times along with the Bob the Builder theme song.  I flashed back to when  Miss P's made me watch Aladdin at least 1092 times between 1995-1996. Robin Williams is hilarious but even his comic genius gets old after the 400th viewing. Ditto Roary the Racing car ..Roary you're my number one star ...see? I still have that song running through my head.
Aside from singing myself hoarse , it was Party Central on  Sunday with the family here to celebrate Little P's second birthday.I took very cute video of Little P riding his birthday trike up and down our hallway and chattering away like a magpie  but I  can't show you because Mr. P is in his underpants. I'm sparing you the agony and showing you a carefully selected photo instead.

Miss P made this birthday cake all by herself. I think she did a brilliant job.

And as a testament to my brilliance I even managed to  get in some sewing. My bizarre sleep patterns continue to throw a crimp into my sewing/blogging/life mojo and I'm heartily sick of it. I have a plan to turn it all around this week.

I just had an epiphany that I've sewn some of those blocks together wrong...bugger. At least it's fixable.

I hope your Sunday was full of creative things. After two weekends of social activity I'm looking forward to spending all of next weekend doing nothing...in my pyjamas.

Thank you thank you for being selective in your photo showing.
Little P's cake made by Miss P is awesome. Maybe you could get Miss P to make some cakes for your next high tea.
I love your Xmas blocks, they look so pretty all together. I can't see a problem with them. Love the fabrics you've used and the contrast in ribbons.

Looks like Little P had a perfect day.
Well done Miss P that is an excellent cake for a Little person - guess he had to share?
Nice packages - they will look gorgeous all together.
Hope the new plan works.

♫♪Happy Birthday, Little P!♪♫
♫♪Happy Birthday to you!♪♫

Miss P takes after her Mum. The cake is gorgeous! I bet it tasted fabulous too. ☺

What's wrong with the blocks? They look wonderful. I'm impressed you were able to put all of them together, considering the busy week you had.

Hope you sleep all through the night! Happy Monday! ☺

Nothing like children's songs to send you doolally around the 400th time. I used to have cd's in the car when mine were younger. I somehow 'lost' them. Needs must! Your blocks look fantastic so if there is a mistake then maybe it is one you should stick with because I can't see how they can be improved!

Happy Birthday Little P. I remember when my son was little and could sleep/night terrors etc we would have him in our bed and run bob the builder video's in the wee small hours of the morning. We couldn't put Thomas on because Silly old Gordon Fell in a Ditch and that was the end of his obsession with those video... so it was "Bob the Builder can we Fix It" ... now i am going to be singing that all day.

Went and saw Harry last night in 3D BRILLIANT. Wonder if I can sneek out and see it again.

Little P is such a handsome boy! And two already? I still haven't made the sausage rolls from his first birthday party.

Also, his cake is really awesome! Miss P did a great job with it!

And you Christmas Quilt blocks are really fun! Go you!

"I love you,
You love me,
We're best friends like friends should be,
With a great big hug,
And a kiss from me to you,
Won't you say you love me too"

This is the song that has been stuck in my head for 21 years now, whenever someone talks about songs from kids, it pops right there.

Yes...I feel your pain we are "Roary" fans here too. But I'm afraid "lighting the queen" (cracks me up everytime my grandon says) it is King here...Grampy even loves the DVD and bought a copy so they could watch it together when he visits us...so there is no respite.
I love your "pressie" blocks too!

Why doesn't Mr. P have pajamas? I'm sure you could rustle up some fabric somewhere around your place to run him up a pair :)

Little P is getting so big already! Cute cute cute. His cake is adorable. Miss P did a lovely job.

Congrats on the work on those blocks. Don't know what you did wrong but glad its fixable.

Thankfully I can't remember any songs from Disney/Pixar etc videos just now but that doesn't mean one couldn't instantly get triggered...

Wow, grandbabies birthdays are so fun! (But it sounds like you had lots of work - grandmothers are just supposed to breeze in with a gift and a kiss - right?) Your blocks look fab!

Ditto on what everybody said. . again I'm coming late to the show and have very little new to answer .. I think the movie watched most in our house was Beauty and the Beast .. (except when the youngest was enthralled with Dances With Wolves).

My two don't have a song, yet, though Spongebob is sometimes on here .. and that weird new Mickey Mouse song. The older one is into super heroes and the don't seem to have theme songs right now. that can always change.

The present blocks do look good. Hope the fix isn't to much work. Seems like that quilt is coming together quickly...

Lol, does Mr P know theres a photo of him in his undies on your blog! How cute is little P! Nice looking cake, have you noticed most of your posts include a photo of cake or cup cakes? I sat here for a while looking at your present blocks but can't see any mistakes, then I wondered if you just made that up so we'd have a good look at them. :) they look wonderful to me!

Happy Birthday to Little P - love his cake - good job to his mommy! So, did you have sausage rolls again?

Still cracking up over your 'selective photo'. What a sweet birthday celebration (well except for the pantslessness - ha!) The cake is super cute!

What's wrong with the blocks. They all look amazing to me!

My guy thinks his tidy-whitey underwear is perfectly good house attire. I do draw the line at coming to the dinner table clad only in underwear. Nuh-uh.

Now what is wrong with those gift box blocks? They look perfectly fine to me!

Aw, Little P looks like a happy camper. I'm glad I don't know the song you had to sing. When my kiddo was small, it was music from The Little Mermaid or Beauty & The Beast. We still sing parts of those songs, like when we see antler furnishings. "I use antlers in all of my DEC-o-rating!..." Then we crack up and people stare at us. Don't you want to come shopping with us?

Happy Birthday to Little P!!!!!!!!!! HE. IS. SO. CUTE.

Uhhhhh, Rory was my number one star until I got it stuck in my head for 3 days a few months ago. Now he's about down to number 17. Thomas is still OK, as long as I still can't remember the words to the theme song (only the tune). It does make me melt to hear my 3 year-old say, "Mommy, my train is shunting cars!" How else would a 3 year-old know the technical term, shunting? So cute.

I am so, so, so impressed with Miss P's cake! She does have your creative genes, for sure! Wow, please tell her that blog land thinks she's pretty amazing!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday to Little P. Looks like he had a ball. Very cute cake, Miss P didn't fall too far from the tree in terms of creativity. Did Little P eat his portion or end up wearing it?

Love your Flurry blocks. I don't see a construction error either.

I can't see what you did wrong with those blocks? They are going to be a fabulous christmas quilt!!

Hooray for PJ's. I am not sleeping and falling asleep on the couch as well....bloody menopause!
