If you'd like to link up to Favourite Things Friday and share your favourite things pop in your link at the bottom of this post so other people can become looky loos (Thank you Annie for this charming turn of phrase) and visit you and take a look at your post for this week.
There are always so many fantastic and varied things shared which is the whole point- you share YOUR favourite thing. If you haven't had a look check it out.
I have an confession to make before I share my fave thing for this Friday. Our kitchen is still not quite finished. I know. Is this the longest renovation in the history of forever? Are you all as bored by it as I am? Frankly in my head I've already moved on to the computer room. It'll probably be finished before the kitchen.
So here are the bits still not done. The kitchen window sill still needs to be done. And I have to organise window treatments. Yes that's the patio outside the window and it looks like a demolition bombsite.
I still don't have pantry shelves ....apparently I'll have them by Saturday night. Which is going to be fabulous because I'm pretty much fed up with my linen cupboard doubling as a pantry. It's a mess. And it feels like I have to walk to another suburb to get whatever I need. I've given up. We've spent this week eating Vegemite on weetbix because I can lay my hands on those two things really fast. And the door frame for the pantry needs to be painted. Blue is so not rocking my world with the other colours in the kitchen.
And I need that gorgeous door converted to a sliding door and to have mesh riveted behind it so it looks like an actual door. And hung in place. But first it has to be sanded....more. And painted again. And again.
But one thing we have managed to get done this week is put up my antiquey looking railway clock. And that IS rocking with the feel of the new kitchen. I love it. I bought it months ago and it's been sitting hibernating in bubble wrap in a brown paper bag just waiting for it's time to shine. Sometimes you just see something and have to have it even though you think "X$ for that. Too bad . I love it. I'm buying it " So this week since I'm being extremely grateful for small things my clock is my favourite thing. It's up and that's one step closer to really finished.

It's double sided . And really big! And it tells time.

I love the clock, it's lovely and would go nicely at my house. When you are tired of it you can send it to me, thank you.
I replaced my kitchen two years ago, the living area is now my kitchen and my kitchen was moved to the living area. Two years on, the floor in the kitchen still hasn't been done, as it is polished timber boards just like the rest of the floorboards throughout the whole house, and they need sanding and polishing. I can't summon up the effort or the enthusiasm to move all the furniture out, so it can be done.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you that your pantry shelves will be in this weekend.
Girl, I love that clock! I wish I could find one like that!! Before you know it your kitchen will be all done and you will love it...these things do seem like the take forever!!
Love that clock even though I don't have anywhere for it I would love to own one. When we did my lounge room I wanted one of those huge clocks to go on the wall but chickened out, still want one really bad and your clock has given me clock envy.
Love love love the clock....just read the previous post (computer probs), hope Mr P's job loss turns out not to be too bad.
I am totally coveting that clock! If I lived closer to you I'd probably try to steal it. :o) I have the perfect spot for it in my den. It looks great in your kitchen.
And speaking of kitchens, your reno will get done. I've had a hole in my kitchen for almost 2 years now. I finally have a door where the hole used to be. Now I need to hook up the toilet and sink to turn it into a powder room. Perhaps in another 2 years it will be done? LOL Happy Friday!
Oh, I love that clock! Can't say any more than that.
Wow we all love the cloch! I've never seen on like that except on an old railway station but it is truely lovely.
You know in the short time I've been following your blog I think you have achieved quite a lot. You seem to be to be busy, busy, busy and you've even had time off sick! So settle petal, it will all get done and it is all looking great.
Cheers
Helen
The clock looks great and is totally cool. I agree the blue door frame isn't rocking with the rest of the room. The only time we've been able to complete a remodel project was when we had to put the house on the market and move due to a job transer.
You should rename this Fabulous things Friday - that clock looks Fantastic and I am really glad it tells the time.
Happy Friday
Now that clock is seriously Good !!!
Mrs. P. that is fabulous clock! Gorgeous. I can certainly see why it is among your favorites. If it were in my house, I'd feel the same way.
Totally awesome!
Oh! I love your clock! That is really fabulous.

That clock would make me look around for Platform 9 3/4 and Ron Weasley's red hair....
I hope your innards can stand more Weetbix and Vegemite cuz those last few details always seem to drag on forever when you have to depend on someone else! But since Mr. P is unfortunately unemployed maybe he'll get on these undone bits. I'm afraid to start a renovation project at my house for Fear of Unfinished Projects. There must be a ________phobia for that one!
I love that clock...your kitchen will look great in no time at all....
Great clock, it would never fit into my house though so I'll let you keep it!
Mrs P I LOVE YOUR CLOCK!!!!! How awesome is that!!
BTW my patio looked like that last week and hubby finally spat the dummy and now it is so clean....be patient, it feels good when it finally happens :-)
wow the clock is fab, hope the kitchen is done soon, guess its an excuse for slack tea week!
A great FAV! and it's new too! You must have high ceilings...so do I and I'd love one like it too!
Mr P. will be hunting next week, so I'm thinking that the kitchen may get some stuff done!
I just found you from "Sandy in Stitches" blog very happy I did like everyone else love the clock and hoping you get your kitchen finished soon...We have friends who live in Adelaide hoping to be able to visit your beautiful country & city someday come on over and visit me jammies & all!!
That clock is AWESOME!!! And honestly, think about it. How long does it take us to finish quilts? Why would you think it would take any less time to finish a kitchen. In my mind, you are right on time!
I love your clock. I couldn't help but notice it has a lot in common with BigB, who is also big, double-sided and tells time!
