Favourite Things Friday

Shoulda , Woulda , Coulda. Are there any more depressing words in the English language?

My plan for this week was to bring you a Favourite Things Friday showing something I've been excited about for the whole week . Something I was having couriered to the post office today and that I was going to pick up this afternoon.

It was going to be in a box just like this....

But I sat down at 1.00pm on the lounge for a little break from my busy day and then I laid down for just a little bit while I checked Facebook , and when I woke up (yes I fell asleep- no surprises there) it was 5.04 pm and too late to go to the Post Office so now I'm going to have to wait till Monday.

So technically since I'm not in possession yet of what would have been my favourite thing for this week, I've had to choose another favourite, which wasn't all that hard because I've spent most of the week , when I wasn't being super excited about what would have been my first favourite, playing with something that has now become my actual favourite, and the subject of this post. Did that make sense? Is everyone with me?  Are you sitting down ? I have big news.

This week I bought an airplane.

In fact I bought 9 of them.

And then I splashed out and bought 9 airports too.

And in between holding down my other job I've been flying people around the country and delivering all sorts of cargo. This week I even transported a mummy and some secret government documents.

Damn Miss P for mentioning Pocket Planes this week when she was over for dinner. I've become a bit obsessed with it. Like I need another time sucker?

Now if you'll excuse me I have to fly to Port Moresby to deliver some donuts...while I pout a little bit more about not getting to the post office in time..

If you've become obsessed by anything this week or just want to share something you love, link up and show it off. I'd love to see it. It'll keep me off Pocket Planes for a while too so you'd kind of be doing me a favour.

Careful in Port Moresby. Had more passengers robbed at machete point there in one day than anywhere else I have ever been. Even the people who lived there told us not to leave the ship after 6pm. So don't all asleep there and fly the heck out while you can. ;-)

Two words: True Blood. I've watched 24 one hour episodes in the last 6 days. I think you'll agree that counts as obsessed?

When bored, I play Bejeweled. I also play hearts as this takes my mind, whatever is left of it, off quilty things.
I am not trying that plane thing at all. I am happy being here right now, but come November, flights to warmer climates would do it. I love the donuts flight though.
Love Fridays...

I am just going to pretend that I never heard about Pocket Planes!

I'm going to ignore pocket planes too. It sounds like fun but I seriously don't need any time wasters at the moment.
Your FTF wasn't going to be bubble wrap was it, bwah ha ha! That's what you might find in a box or those annoying foam pellet thingys that they use to fill boxes.

Looks like a very fun time waster. Sorry you didn't get your box. Now I'll be wondering all week what your favorite thing is going to be for next week.

Like I don't play enough games already. But if you say it's fun, I might just have to try it. I'm still stuck back on draw something .. though my son got me started on a new one.

Nice fave.

Arrrrgggh!!!!! My partner has that game and has since stopped talking to me except to tell me what his planes are doing. Don't stop talking to us Shay!! My favourite game is still Etsy, it's got that pretend money called paypal.

Good to MsP still has influence over you.
Enjoy playing while waiting for Monday to collect your new favourite.

I was sitting by my daughter the other day while she was playing a word game on her iPad and I became engrossed. Looks like a fun time. I hope you got you donuts delivered!

Well, that settles it. I am NOT going to get an iPad, because I don't need any new time suckers either. Those little airplanes are super cute, though. I was particularly impressed that you'd transported a mummy and secret government documents.

Great FTF!

I was a bit late with FTF but I got there in the end. Love the fact you fell asleep, not so much that you missed your parcel. My FTF isn't my original thought that will have to wait until next week. Have a good one.

I so didn't need to see that! :-)

Oh Shay...does this mean you can now fly me to Hawaii in September? LOL I very much understand....I'm stuck in Hidden Chronicles on Facebook. I love trying to find all the hidden objects. Probably because I'm constantly looking for something I've misplaced. It's my comfort zone, so why not make a game of it? :o)

Lol,lol,lol,lol,.....been sickieing this week so got a wee bit obsessed with cutting out Shoo fly blocks, 'cos I could do that sitting down !! Vertical wasn't too good for me :( now I just have to sew them together !!!

Hey those games are a little mini-vacation for the mind. Sometimes I need to sit still; I need to let my mind go quiet. The thing is there aren't many things that get my brain to quit blathering on about this or that, except a game. :-)

Secret government documents? Oh my gosh, that is exciting! Still planning to stay away from the app store though. (But secret government documents? Possible weakening here!)

So, have you given up virtual baking for virtual flying?
