- I come from the Land Down Under where the two primary food groups are Vegemite and Tim Tams. If you haven’t tried Vegemite you really haven’t lived. I highly recommend you run out and get some and slather it on a piece of bread about an inch thick. I promise you'll love it. I frequently eat vegemite sandwiches or coco pops for tea because after a full day of hanging out with the pre- school crowd in my day job, I usually can’t recall my own name much less cook dinner. It’s OK there are no actual kids living in my house so I’m only neglecting grownups. Not doing housework, windows or my own grocery shopping frees up my spare time so I can quilt, sew , blog, attempt to bake and lay on my lounge playing games on my Ipad. I only iron when I need to press quilt seams. I only wash when we’re in imminent danger of running out of clean undies. In fact once my husband had to draw me a map so I could find the laundry. My blog is a random place where I document my (mis)adventures, occasionally chuck in a swear word or two and vent my spleen about all manner of things. This is a place only for the very brave or slightly insane. Welcome.

Heaven is a hot water tank. Enjoy! I don't think I have had a butter tart since I left Canada. Brings back memories.
I think Penola must somehow be in Canada, because they all say eh at the ends of their sentences too.
I just got out of the shower. I had one yesterday too but tonight's still felt fantastic.

Yay! Hope you are in hot water heaven. Too bad you no longer have a teenager at home to really break in the new water heater, I'm convinced no one uses more hot water then a teen aged girl!

At the cottage here, we limit to five minutes the showers! You should hear me banging on the door and yelling that we are on septic people!
But in the city, ah, the bliss of a long hot shower. good for shaving the legs too!

Okay...so inquiring minds want to know....did you save any hot water for the rest of your family after showering in your own bathroom??? LOL Congrats!!! Yay! So glad you got the hot water fixed. There were a couple of mornings this last winter when the hot water wouldn't run in the bathrooms until we'd run it in the kitchen for a good bit. It was really inconvenient and there was no way I was taking a cold shower. Glad you had your MIL close, but even happier that you have a new water heater! Yay!
We got our AC fixed, which is more of a luxury, as opposed to the necessity of water heater. It was kind of a hit to the wallet. The fridge has started dripping water inside, so that's next on the fix list. Does it ever end? Maybe we should just buy a new house.
