Snowball Night -Week 8

It's Week 8 of the Snowball Quilt-along and I really wanted to show off what this quilt might look like when it's all put together so I actually cleaned my sewing room over the weekend. And then ran out of time to lay the blocks out. This is not poor time management on my part - but rather a complete lack of free time this week. And probably next week...and the week after. I suspect my sewing time is on hold for the next few weeks, until the room that must not be named is finished.

So I started the week with 59 blocks  left to do. And after a monumental effort for the week I came up with this...

Yep - one block. And that was only because I raced home from my brother in laws birthday 10 minutes ago and banged this up, specifically so I would have something to post.

I figure by this time next week, if I can even find the sewing room around all the boxes it'll be a miracle.

  1. I'm catching up on your blog...the little cup cakes etc looked like painted pebbles! I loved the look.
Ah family is so fun isn't it and babies, it just doesn't get any better.
Can't wait for the room to be finished so that you can mess it up.

  2. Oh, but what a pretty little snowball block it is! And it has lots of company already. Even if you only get one done a week, you'll have them all done around this time next year, which is still faster than most of the quilts I make...

  5. I'm so glad we rate for a race home and a fast finish, LOL! One done is still progress of course. And a clean sewing room is definitely more inviting than a messy one. I've got to clean mine today as there is a meeting of The Orts Society tonight!

  8. Well, I think you're probably the only one (that I've seen) that's keeping up with Snowball Night week count!!! I have boxed mine and hope to take them on my camping trip next week to work on. I still think your fabric choice is gorgeous and when I went to look for some, it was so much more expensive than the other charm packs so I ditched that idea....sigh....anyway - cheers to you for keeping track!!

  10. Hi,

One is more than I've EVER done. I admire you creative women that can turn scraps of fabric into masterpieces. I must learn.

This is my first visit to your sweet blog but I will be back. I saw a comment you left on Janean's blog regarding gingerbread trim and thought you would be interested in a pictorial post I did on The Painted Ladies (Victorian architecture) along my shore.
