15 Minute Challenge with Kate

I'm like the long shot  at the track this week. You know- the horse that comes out of nowhere to have a brilliant finish?  OK technically  I didn't actually finish anything but I did make progress on the Flurry QAL.

and I started something new because I need another project to make me feel guilty and mock me...but I'm hoping this project will be quick to finish and look really snuggly and cute. It's not technically challenging and since my mojo is in sad need of some fine tuning I thought this would be perfect.

I really do need to stop ignoring the BWR quilt though. Time is ticking away and it needs to be finished since it's for a birthday gift in less than a month.

For more craftiness pop on over to Kate's for this weeks round up of the 15 minute challenge.

PS. I finally downloaded the latest version of my browser a few days ago after ignoring the prompt daily for the last three months and now I'm having no end of trouble accessing blogs to comment again! Aside from the fact I cant find anything and I dont think it's better - I'm feeling very frustrated.

  2. There are some very pretty fabrics waiting to be cut. When do we find out what they will be?

  3. Your Flurry looks fabulous! ☺ How in the world did you get so far ahead? I'm sewing ALL DAY tomorrow...at least that's what I keep telling my kids. I said that all day today, but did I get a stitch in?

The BWR quilt is wonderful too. I know you'll be glad to have that one finished.

    Happy Wednesday! ☺

PS...I still can't access some blogs too. I sure wish Blogger would get their act together. The only thing I know to do, is to comment in the Name/URL option.

    PPS...My word verification is 'Vomet'!

  5. Your Flurry blocks are looking good. I realized we have a fabric in common. I'm using the same red with white Christmas trees on it in my version. I'm hoping to get some of my blocks sewn tonight.

Love the green/yellow theme you've got going in your new project. Can't wait to see what you whip up there.

Thanks for linking up this week.

  8. Ooh, pretty green and yellow fabric there. Can't wait to see what you've got in mind for it.

Flurry is looking good, and re your BWR quilt, I have a hunch you work well under pressure. It's going to be awesome!

  9. The BWR quilt is coming along - little bits add up and we've seen you work under pressure before - all that magic you pull out of nowhere.
    Loving those lovely bright parcels.
    Enjoy your new project.

  10. Very very party ready, those Christmasy gifts! Good work. Hope the WRB grabs hold soon for it's flurry of a finish

Your P.S. is EXACTLY why I haven't uploaded the latest version of the IE. I've heard nothing good about it!

  11. I love that moment where a quilt goes from having so much work still to be done on it to suddenly being an almost complete quilt top, but I often find it so overwhelming that I have to stop and do the last half hour of sewing some other time because I'm so overcome.

I'm running firefox 4 which updates itself automatically and I've never had a commenting problem.

  12. Love the Flurry quilt, it's looking great, gee you're not doing too badly I still haven't added the sashing yet.
I love th oclours of your new project, really bright and cheerful. I can't wait to see what you are making with them.
Like everyone els has said, I know you work amazingly well under pressure and I'm sure you'll breeze the BWR quilt in on time.
From what I've heard on the grapevine it's Internet Explorer that is causing all the problems. If you use Firefox or Safari there seems to be no problems at all.

  13. Those x-mas blocks look so pretty...I iwsh I would have joined....and the BWR Quilt will be finished in no time...come on girl..you can do it...I have three quilts to make before x-mas...hahaha...

Are you working with internet explorer? I just made the mistake of updating that and I can barely access my emails...nor is anythig else really working.

Maybe it´s trying to teach us a lesson??

  14. I love the Flurry QAL! Your blocks are awesome! And I'm so interested in what your new project is. Pretty fabrics and cheerful colors -- I'm sure it will be awesome.

Here's some motivation for the BWR quilt. If you finish it before the birthday, I'll send you some Oreos and marshmallow creme, unless you can buy Oreos in Australia, in which case I will send you something else that is delicious and that you can't get there. That is, unless the Oreos are really what you'd like.

  15. I hope you get your mojo back as you only have a short time left to finish that BWR quilt, good job you started something new to get you out of the starting gates :-) I am having heaps of trouble commenting as well, so frustrating!

  16. I love the BWR quilt, but relax my birthday's still months away!
I totally understand the need to start something new. I have to at least have four projects going at once, especially if a deadline is looming. What makes us do that?

  17. I like your fabric WAY better than mine. Your presents look GREAT! And I feel you with the project that is due that you keep ignoring to work on something else. I'm in the same boat - even went so far as to lug it around with me yesterday thinking I might work on it in a spare moment. NOT!

  18. I loved this: "because I need another project to make me feel guilty and mock me"

I love the black, white and red one you're making! GORGEOUS!

  19. The Christmas quilt is going to be a real masterpiece. Absolutely lovely.
Blogger has been a real pain but the advice about making sure the Always stay signed in box is unticked seems to have fixed my problems.
    Cheers
