It's Not Favourite Things Friday

I figure everyone is going to be too busy going to Church, eating hot cross buns, spending time with family and friends  and/or stuffing themselves with chocolate to post for Favourite Things Friday this week.

I'm off to my parents for the weekend where Mother of Pyjamas  has banned sewing machines for the entire weekend. Once I'd gotten over my initial panic at the thought of not being able to touch my Janome for 4 days I realised I still have options.   I'll be sewing by hand. Computer access is limited so I'll have plenty of time.

Have a happy safe Easter.

  1. Have fun, I thought you hated sewing by hand!
Are you sure you can't sneak your sewing machine in through the back door?

  9. I bet she was joking. I think you should take your machine anyway. Or you could sleep the whole time. That's probably what I would do.

  11. Myself, dear hubby and youngest daughter are all going on a long weekend motorcycle ride to the in-laws house. I too won't be sewing at all.......will have to make up for it next week I suppose. Good thing the laptop died last night, otherwise I might try to take that with me. Oh well, maybe I will take the IPad instead. Usually we stay pretty busy while there, so there isn't too much idle time to make me bored. They know I don't do idle time well at all. See ya next week, have fun!

  14. You just saved my butt...I was wondering what I could write about, since everything I did today I relly liked, but everything was not something I should post here on a holiday :-))
You have fun and enjoy yourself with your hand sewing, crocheting and stitching. You´ll love once you get the kick. And I will be enjoying the beautiful weather here and probably spent all day outside hand sewing or sleeping in the shade.
    Happy Easter!!
