I've been dying to do a tutorial. Unfortunately there are so many talented people out there that all the good tutorials appear to have been taken. I finally had this idea. And I'm freaking awesome at doing this because I've had so much practice. I estimate I've done this about 9568 times since I moved out of home in 1989. Someone else changed the toilet roll here once in 2003 and I nearly fainted from shock. I think they did it by accident. Whoever it was never confessed. Some crimes just never get solved.
I strongly urge you to print this tutorial off and blue tack it to the toilet wall above the toilet roll holder. That's what I just did. I have my fingers crossed that my family can learn a new skill with visual step by step instructions.
HOW TO CHANGE A TOILET ROLL
And if this doesnt work I'm hiding all the TP....
I thought you were sewing???????
ReplyDeleteWell I would have been if I didn't have to change the effing toilet roll, and take pictures of their perfidy and then post about it ...Ok I take your point. I just sent you something too. You'll be glad I wasnt sewing when you get it.
ReplyDeleteOh, THAT'S how it's done..... And it looks so simple too!
ReplyDeleteYep - I'm one of those that leaves just a few squares for the roomie. Although now it's kind of a running joke..........
Thanks for the tutorial, though!
AMW
She gets her sewing machine back and posts a tutorial about TP. Good Lord, someone set her down and talk priorities, please?!
ReplyDeleteBtw, what do you do if your TP holder isn't the same. Do I pull out of the left side or the right side for the bar to release? Ahh, now I'll be stressing about it until I have to do it. thanks a lot.
-wink-
Oh..it was me who changed your toilet paper for you many eons ago when I stayed at your place..mwah..luv ya sis xx
ReplyDeletepyjama girl, you are AWESOME!! so glad for this tutorial...wished my honey could see it, but alas he's *conveniently at the office.*
ReplyDeleteyou need some kind of FAB award or something. uh...does it make a difference if it's printed TP or solid color? LOL!!!!! *wink*
Ha ha-I love that. In my house I don't even get credit for it. It falls under "things the faeries do". I'm printing and posting, pronto. Thanks Mrs. P. Lovely TP, too.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha hahahahahahaha!!! (Love the seashell print - your family is spoiled!)
ReplyDeleteby the way, your tile floor is very clean!
ReplyDeleteI'm off to clean mine right now (because it certainly doesn't look that gleaming).
Oh my gosh!!! This is the best!!! The photos are just perfect, too! HA HA HA!
ReplyDeleteYes, you do need an award for this post! I don't know anything about blogging awards, but if someone has one to give, do it!
Kirsten , was that sarcasm? I haven't cleaned that floor in about 4 weeks...lol
ReplyDeleteLove it, posted above my TP holder. Hoping someone will read it.
ReplyDeleteI would print this and hang it in the wall, but my family members learn in different ways. Pictures are not enough - they need written words, an oral direction (perhaps it should come on and repeat the instructions as soon as the paper is low) and a real life demonstration (or two or five dozen) Hey, while I am thinking about this, I am also getting a thought that you should invent something like this, you could get rich.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, love the toilet paper! I can't find pretty stuff like that here.
Ha ha, thanks for the laugh!! =) I have lots of helpers with the toilet paper here, but they usually put it on with the "flap" in back, but I like it in front to reach easier! Is that totally lame? Oh yes, also- when Breanna tried to put the last roll on she accidentally dropped it in the toilet....
ReplyDeleteThis is so weird. When I was taking pictures of that TP I thought "I hope people dont think I'm bogan because I have seashells toilet paper"
ReplyDeleteI have to say I prefer white and only bought this because it was on super special.
Hi Mrs. P. What does "Bogan" mean? I don't think that. Unless it is good. I love your TP. Anyway. I passed on to you the Beautiful Bloggers award because we ARE totally kyndred spirits. You've probably done this before, right. But I have to tell you...rules and all...go to my blog. Thanks for the kynship and entertainment you provide me with. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally making my boyfriend read this.
ReplyDeleteROFL! I thought my Mister was complete incapable of changing the roll out until he did it a couple of times. He must have been sleep-walking when he did it because it only happened those few random times.
ReplyDeletelove it thats gold put it in loo so as i print it
ReplyDeleteI'm a little late to the game, but I love the tutorial. The first time I was at my in-laws' house the tp ran out and I, of course, changed it. At some point later in the day, my mother-in-law started complaining about the tp being put on the wrong way! and I really thought about it before I put the new roll on! :)
