Having lived interstate until recently I think Adelaide's biggest critics and problems come from Adelaide itself, not interstate. (Seriously, most people interstate don't even think about Adelaide!) I saw numerous tweets about how Krispy Kremes are just not as good as Balfour's doughnuts so why all the fuss? Then I read about the knife wielding hoodie wearer who held up a couple of people and stole their six boxes of Krispy Kremes. Proof of Krispy Kreme supremacy! How many boxes of Balfour's doughnuts (or carrots for that matter) have been stolen at knife point? That's how you do a hot Krispy Kreme. At 17 I could eat half a dozen in about 15 minutes. It never mattered if I felt badly later. They were worth every calorie laden minute!
